Ribbon Cutting, Live Music, and Family Activities Planned from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
LELAND, NC — After months of anticipation, the Town of Leland will officially open Founders Park located at 13 Town Hall Drive on Friday, July 31, with an evening celebration featuring live music, family activities, food trucks, beer garden and community fun from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The event begins with a ribbon cutting at 5:30 p.m., marking the formal opening of the newly completed park. At 6:00 p.m., The Embers featuring Craig Woolard will take the stage in the park’s new amphitheater for a free outdoor concert. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chairs for the concert.
“Founders Park was designed to be a place where our community can come together to make memories, celebrate special moments, and enjoy everything that makes Leland unique,” said Mayor Brenda Bozeman. “We are excited to officially open this space, and we invite residents and visitors to come to this event and experience all it has to offer.”
Visitors will also be able to explore Founders Park’s amenities, including the splash pad, playground, multi‑use trail, fitness equipment, Veterans Memorial, and other features throughout the grounds.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening designed for all ages.
