COLUMBUS COUNTY — A Chadbourn man is being held on a combination of secured and no‑bond holds after deputies charged him with possessing a stolen firearm, possessing a weapon of mass destruction, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Zachary Dasacher Green, 27, was arrested at 2:58 p.m. Monday and booked into the Columbus County Detention Center. His charges include:

  • Possess Stolen Firearm — $150,000 secured
  • Possess Weapon of Mass Destruction — included in other
  • Possession of Firearm by Felon — $100,000 secured
  • Extradition/Fugitive Other State — no bond

Green’s charges mirror the offenses listed in the Tabor City rifle‑seizure case earlier the same day, though deputies have not publicly linked the two investigations.
