FDA Recall: Kian Pee Wan Capsules Contain Undeclared Drugs

FDA RECALL: Aphreseller, operating as Buy-herbal.com and an eBay seller, has issued a voluntary nationwide recall of all Kian Pee Wan capsules after FDA testing found undeclared dexamethasone and cyproheptadine.

The product, marketed for weight gain and appetite stimulation, is considered an unapproved drug and cannot be sold as a dietary supplement.

The capsules were sold nationwide on eBay in white bottles with beige labels containing 30 pills.

Risks:
– Dexamethasone can weaken the immune system, raise blood sugar, cause muscle injury, psychiatric effects, cardiovascular events, adrenal suppression, and withdrawal symptoms.
– Cyproheptadine may cause sedation, dizziness, restlessness, dry mouth, nausea, digestive issues, urinary retention, and blurred vision.

Consumers should stop using the product, discard it, or return it to the place of purchase. Those experiencing symptoms should contact a healthcare provider.

Returns for eBay purchases may be sent to 136‑61 41st Ave., #602, Flushing, NY 11355.

Questions may be directed to SiewLee Wong at 347‑313‑8605 or greatremedy68@gmail.com (Mon–Fri, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. ET). Adverse reactions may be reported through the FDA’s MedWatch program.
