WHITEVILLE, NC — A Cumberland County man was booked into the Columbus County Detention Center on Wednesday afternoon after being taken into custody on outstanding court orders.
Deputies arrested Eugene Williams, 38, of Fayetteville, around 3:08 p.m. Williams was wanted on active warrants for failing to appear in court regarding prior misdemeanor offenses in the county.
Williams was processed by detention staff and subsequently released on a $25,000 unsecured bond pending his rescheduled court date.
Any individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
