Evergreen Warrant Service Ends in Arrest of Local Resident

Evergreen, NC – An early-morning warrant service in Evergreen successfully brought a wanted individual into custody. Columbus County Sheriff’s Corporal Patrick Sawhill responded to a property on Old Highway 74 around 2:55 AM on Thursday, where deputies located Angel Strickland, 42.

Strickland, was wanted by the State of North Carolina for failing to appear in court on previous misdemeanor charges. Following the brief encounter, Strickland was booked into the Columbus County Detention Center under a $1,500 secured bond.

All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
