Doris Ann Hinson McPherson, 82, of the Beaverdam Community in Clarendon, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, July 11, 2026, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Doris was born on August 30, 1943, daughter or the late Neal and Lizzie Hinson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hershel McPherson and her siblings, Neal (Pete) Hinson, and
Ruby Fowler.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the McPherson Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday evening at Worthington Funeral Home.
The surviving family includes her daughter, Sharon M. Parker of Clarendon; grandchildren, Nicole Cox (Eddie), and Amber Parker of the home; great-grandchildren, Joanna Cox, and Lily Williams; siblings, Ray (Eldred) Hinson, Alice Grastly, and Brenda Winland (Don)
