BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC — Deputies are asking for the public’s help in locating 16‑year‑old Jenna Armstrong, who was last seen on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, around 6:30 p.m. at her residence in the Littleton area of Halifax County, near NC Highway 48, a rural corridor north of Roanoke Rapids.
According to investigators, Armstrong left the home on foot and has not been seen since. Because Highway 48 connects several remote communities and leads toward major travel routes, deputies believe she may have moved far from the area. Authorities now say she may be in Brunswick County and could also be attempting to reach Wilmington.
Armstrong is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, approximately 130 pounds, with long dark‑pink hair. She may have been wearing black Crocs, olive‑green Puma sweatpants, and a black Vans T‑shirt, and could be carrying an orange floral backpack.
Deputies say she is accompanied by her brindle‑colored Belgian Malinois, which may help the public identify her. Officials also emphasize that Armstrong suffers from cognitive issues, increasing concern for her safety.
Search efforts have expanded across multiple counties, with Brunswick County deputies urging residents in Bolivia, Leland, Supply, Shallotte, and surrounding rural areas to remain alert for any possible sightings.
Anyone who sees Armstrong, her dog, or has information about her whereabouts is urged to call 9-1-1 immediately or contact their local law enforcement agency. Even small details may be critical to the investigation.
