“Gone Fishing”
David Gallovich
June 4, 1954 – June 11, 2026
“The measure of a life is not found in the tears shed after death, but in the love shared while living.”
David Gallovich passed away at his home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories with family and friends.
David was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his beloved wife, partner, and best friend of more than 40 years, Sandra Carroll -Gallovich. He is also survived by his loving stepdaughter, Nicole Camarota-Deitrick, and son-in-law, Robert Deitrick; his cherished granddaughter, Devlynn Deitrick-Grams, and her husband, Robby Grams; as well as extended family members and dear friends whose lives he touched throughout the years.
Dave lived life to the fullest and found joy in spending time with his family, especially traveling with Sandra. He loved fishing and hunting, building custom model airplanes, painting, music, and playing both the guitar and drums. A talented chef, custom painter, and craftsman, he took great pride in his work and enjoyed sharing his many skills, hobbies, and passions with others throughout his life.
Those who knew Dave will remember his larger-than-life personality, his sense of humor, and his ability to make a lasting impression on everyone he met. If you knew Dave, you never forgot him.
Dave will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, all who knew and loved him, and most of all by Sandy, his partner, best friend, and the love of his life.
“A life well lived leaves its mark not in what we take with us, but in the love, laughter, and memories we leave behind.”
