Columbus County Arrest Report — Feb. 17–20, 2026

Whiteville, NC – The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office booked numerous individuals into the detention center from February 17 to February 20, 2026.
These bookings reflect arrests made by sheriff’s deputies during that period.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.The following is a summary of notable recent bookings, based on public records. This is not an exhaustive list and includes only those with reported charges.

Several arrests involved driving while impaired (DWI) under N.C.G.S. 20-138.1.

• Gerald Dewayne Jones, 60, booked February 19 at 1:01 AM, charged with DWI, speeding, reckless driving with wanton disregard, no operator’s license, and open container violation (bond: $15,000 for DWI). 
• Allan Cole Canady, 34, booked February 19 at 10:46 PM, charged with DWI (bond: $2,000). 
• Ray Charles Carmichael, 64, booked February 20 at 1:39 PM, charged with DWI and parole violation (bond: $1,000 for DWI). 
• Amethyst Magdalena Long, 23, booked February 17 at 8:57 PM, charged with DWI (bond: $1,500). 
• David L Rose, 54, booked February 20 at 2:15 AM, charged with habitual impaired driving, open container violation, and driving while license revoked after impaired revocation notice (bond: $250,000 for habitual impaired driving).

Drug-related charges:

• Emma Kate Pridgen, 22, booked February 19 at 1:38 AM, charged with felony possession of cocaine, misdemeanor possession of Schedule VI controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia (bond: $10,000 for felony cocaine). 
• Nathaniel Monroe, 42, booked February 19 at 1:29 PM, charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver Schedule II controlled substance (multiple counts) and possession of drug paraphernalia (bond: $30,000). 
• Christopher Allen Kelly, 44, booked February 18 at 1:54 PM, faced multiple serious drug charges including maintaining a place for controlled substances (multiple counts), sell/deliver fentanyl (multiple), possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver fentanyl and methamphetamine, sell/deliver methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia (bonds up to $300,000).

Other notable cases:

• Laquan Tirik Little, 31, booked February 20 at 6:48 PM, charged with assault on detention employee inflicting injury and malicious conduct by prisoner throwing (bonds: $50,000 each). 
• John Christopher Causey, 34, booked February 19 at 9:48 PM, charged with first-degree kidnapping, fleeing/eluding arrest with motor vehicle (multiple), reckless driving, littering (15-500 lbs), no operator’s license, unsafe tires, improper muffler, failure to appear on misdemeanor, resisting public officer, and fictitious/altered title/registration (various bonds). 
• Xavier Tamaree Dshaun White, 29, booked February 18 at 1:59 AM, charged with multiple offenses including second-degree kidnapping, assault by strangulation, assault on a female, misdemeanor crime of domestic violence, possession of firearm by felon, financial card fraud, simple possession Schedule II, maintain place controlled substance, possess stolen firearm, misdemeanor larceny, and failure to appear (various bonds). 
• Michaelia Brianca Williams, 30, booked February 18 at 11:37 PM, charged with multiple counts of larceny by employee (bond: $50,000). 
• Irvin E Nunez, 32, booked February 17 at 1:56 AM, charged with first-degree burglary, felony larceny, first-degree trespass, injury to real property, and simple assault. 
• Jaesean Daryan Freeman, 23, booked February 17 at 1:12 PM, charged with possession of firearm by felon, fleeing/eluding arrest with motor vehicle, reckless driving, speeding, resisting public officer, possess stolen firearm, possession of weapon of mass destruction, PWIMSD marijuana, and possess handgun by minor (various bonds).
