WHITEVILLE, NC — A Chadbourn resident is behind bars following an incident at the local correctional facility.
Pamela H. Miller, 57, of 442 Pine Acres Ave., Chadbourn, was arrested by the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 12 at approximately 3:09 p.m. The arrest follows an investigation stemming from an incident at the N.C. Department of Corrections facility on Prison Camp Road earlier that day.
According to law enforcement records, Miller faces multiple felony charges, including three counts of trafficking in opium or heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, conspiracy to sell/deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance on prison premises, providing contraband to an inmate, and exposing a child to a controlled substance. Incident logs indicate officers seized four grams of Suboxone/Opium and a Ford Taurus in connection with the investigation.
Miller was booked into the Columbus County Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond as she awaits trial.
All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
