Chadbourn Man Faces Multiple Felony Assault Charges Involving Detention Employees

CHADBOURN — A Chadbourn man is facing a long list of felony and misdemeanor charges after deputies booked him Thursday evening on allegations involving assaults on detention employees and resisting officers.

Detention records show James Adams Montgomery, 27, of 200 W. 6th Avenue, was booked at 6:34 p.m. on July 16. Montgomery is charged with multiple counts of “Assault Physical Injury Detention Employee,” along with Assault and Battery, Resisting Public Officer, and Attempted Common Law Robbery.

Several of Montgomery’s charges carry no bond, listed as “$0.00 / No Bond,” while others are marked “Felony / Awaiting Trial” or “Misdemeanor / Awaiting Trial.”

All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
