Vacant mobile home found fully involved; multiple agencies assist in coordinated response

BOLTON, NC — On Sunday, March 22, at approximately 6:15 a.m., Buckhead Volunteer Fire & Rescue’s Station 4 responded mutual aid to a structure fire involving a vacant mobile home in the Bolton area. The residence was fully involved on arrival.

Crews from Bolton Fire, Lake Waccamaw Fire & Rescue, and ADR Fire worked alongside Buckhead personnel to bring the fire under control. EMS409 also responded to the scene. Chief Smith served as incident commander.

The department noted its appreciation for the opportunity to assist neighboring agencies, emphasizing the importance of shared resources, manpower, and support during emergency responses.

As crews wrapped up operations, firefighters were met with a striking sunrise. Several members remarked that the rays breaking through the sky felt symbolic – “like 414 is shining down on us.
