DELCO — Deputies are investigating an early‑morning break‑in at Riegelwood Mutual Drug after someone forced their way into the business Friday and caused more than $1,500 in damage, according to a sheriff’s office incident report.
Deputy Zachary Morris responded to the pharmacy at 3:11 a.m. Friday after employees discovered the front door shattered and an interior door damaged. The report lists the victim as Riegelwood Mutual Drug and notes that “medication scripts” were also taken.
The break‑in comes as pharmacies across rural North Carolina continue to report overnight burglaries targeting prescription pads and controlled‑substance storage areas. No suspect description was available in Friday’s report.
