Bobby Odell Garrell, age 86, of Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina, went to be with the Lord on the 28 of January 2026. Born on September 29, 1939, in Columbus County, North Carolina, Bobby was a lifelong resident of the community he loved.
Bobby was a well-known farmer. He was known for his strong work ethic and deep appreciation for a simple, honest life. Bobby loved his family and his many friends and left his everlasting footprint on this earth with everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him. Bobby created a legacy through Honey Hill Hunting Preserve. He enjoyed spending his days with family, friends, and his dogs’ creating memories for many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Garrell and Allie Mae Sellers; his brothers, Buster Garrell and Thurston Garrell; and his sisters, Bonnie Rae Sarvis and Barbara Ann Coleman.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Annette Bright Garrell; his sons, Terry Allen Garrell (Joan) of Hallsboro, NC, Jeffery Lynn Garrell (Donna) of Myrtle Beach, SC, and John Allen Wilson of Hallsboro, NC; his daughter, Lisa Long Garrell (daughter I never had); his grandchildren, Sara Leonard (Jon), Justin Garrell (Savannah), Hanna Taylor (Zack), Sarena Little (Zack), Colin Garrell, and Christopher Solomon; and his great-grandchildren, Levi, Reba, Haven, Nora, Harvey, Kennedy, Jenna, and Connor; Close friends Michael and Crystal Andrews.
Visitation will be held at Peacock Funeral Home on Tuesday February 3, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
A graveside service will be held at Lake Waccamaw Hillcrest Cemetery at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, with Rev. Timmy Locklear officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted to Peacock Funeral Home of Whiteville, North Carolina.
