Holden Beach, NC — A local ice cream shop is showing its appreciation for the first responders working to contain the ongoing wildfire in the region.
Beaches-N-Cream, located at 3316 Holden Beach Rd SW, is offering free ice cream to all fire and rescue personnel involved in the response throughout the month of July.
Known as the original homemade ice cream store at Holden Beach, the shop features ice cream made fresh on-site. Customers can view their live menu during business hours.
To receive the treat, personnel are asked to present their department identification at the shop. In a statement accompanying the announcement, the business expressed its gratitude to the crews for their courage, sacrifice, and service in protecting the community.
