Sheriff’s Office highlights its mission, structure, and four newly promoted team members

Brunswick County, NC — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, the county’s primary law‑enforcement agency, has announced several new promotions recognizing deputies who have demonstrated strong leadership, professionalism, and commitment to serving the community.
Led by Sheriff Brian Chism, BCSO provides countywide public‑safety services through divisions including Patrol, Criminal Investigations, School Resource Officers, IMPACT, Court Services, and the Detention Center. The agency is known for its community‑focused approach, strong partnerships with local schools and civic groups, and ongoing efforts to maintain transparency and public trust.

• Ashley Williams – Promoted to SRO Sergeant
• Rebecca Allen – Promoted to IMPACT Lieutenant
• Preston Nowell – Promoted to Court First Sergeant
• Johnathan Smith – Promoted to Patrol Sergeant
