4,300 pounds of canned soup pulled; recall includes product distributed in the U.S. Southeast
RECALL: BCI Foods has recalled approximately 4,300 pounds of tasty KITCHEN Chicken Noodle Condensed Soup after federal inspectors determined the cans may contain beef and egg allergens not declared on the label.
The recall covers 10.5‑ounce cans marked as Product of Canada.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) reports that the affected soup was shipped to retail locations across the United States, including distribution into the Southeastern region.
The issue was discovered when routine inspection found that cans labeled as chicken noodle soup actually contained beef and egg, triggering a Class I recall due to the risk for consumers with allergies. No confirmed illnesses have been reported.
Consumers are advised to check their pantries and discard any cans matching the recall description. FSIS will continue monitoring product removal from commerce.
