Armed Robbery Charge for Whiteville Teen After Wednesday Morning Arrest

WHITEVILLE — A Whiteville teenager is facing a serious felony charge after deputies arrested him Wednesday morning in connection with an armed robbery.

Laraun Derik Moultrie Jr., 18, of Tobys Lane, was booked into the Columbus County Detention Center at 10:03 a.m. on a charge of Robbery With a Dangerous Weapon, according to the jail report. The charge is listed as a felony, and Moultrie is being held without bond.
