COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC – Public health inspections conducted over the last 30 days show a strong commitment to sanitation across Columbus County’s local dining scene. From the banks of Lake Waccamaw to the South Carolina line in Tabor City, independent restaurants and family-owned diners consistently secured “A” ratings throughout March and the first week of April.
In the northern reaches of the county, Kitchen Love continues to lead the Whiteville area with a standout 98.5 inspection score. Moving east, Dale’s Seafood at Lake Waccamaw and Heather Rae’s Comfort Cookin’ in Delco both maintained high marks, reflecting the steady reliability of these community staples as seasonal traffic begins to pick up along the Highway 74/76 corridor.
The southern end of the county saw equally impressive results. D’s Coffee & More in Chadbourn topped the regional list with a 99.0, followed closely by The Pilot House and The Country Kitchen, both of which remain favorites for sit-down service in the Chadbourn and Cerro Gordo areas. In Tabor City and Fair Bluff, Mama’s Restaurant and George’s continuing to provide high-standard options for residents and travelers alike.
