Guy Russell Canady Sr. age 79 of Nakina, NC., died Friday, April 17, 2026, in his daughter’s home in Gray, GA. Born in Columbus County, NC., he was the son of late Grover Russell Canady & Elmarie Prince Canady.
In addition to his parent’s, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Pierce Canady.
He was a veteran of the U.S Army
He is survived by one son, Guy Russell Canady Jr. (Christy) of Nakina, NC., one daughter, Clarissa Handlos (Steve) of Gray, Ga. one sister, Gail Norris (Vern) of Columbia, SC., five grandchildren, Katelyn Grace Connor (Steven), Lauren Graye Canady, Summer Handlos, Sierra Handlos, Dylan Handlos, one great grandchild, Rylee Graye Connor.
