Leland Town Council Launches “Let’s Talk Leland” Community Forum Series

Town of Leland

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — April 14, 2026

LELAND, NC — The Leland Town Council is launching Let’s Talk Leland, a new Town hall–style forum series designed to foster open, informal conversations between residents and Town leadership.
The first forum will be held Wednesday, April 29, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Leland Cultural Arts Center, located at 1212 Magnolia Village Way.

Mayor Brenda Bozeman and Councilmember Leland Hyer will attend the inaugural session to speak directly with residents, answer questions, and hear feedback in a relaxed, conversational setting.

“Let’s Talk Leland is about creating space for meaningful dialogue,” said Mayor Bozeman. “We want residents to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and engaging with us in a way that feels approachable and transparent.”

The event will begin with a 30‑minute informal social from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., offering attendees an opportunity to meet and interact with Town leadership. A facilitated question‑and‑answer session will follow from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

Residents may submit questions at check‑in or throughout the event. Contact information may also be provided for follow‑up, as Town staff will share responses to any questions not addressed during the forum.

The Let’s Talk Leland series reflects the Town’s ongoing commitment to transparency, accessibility, and community engagement. Additional forums will be scheduled throughout the year with the remaining Councilmembers participating.
