Boil Water Advisory Issued for Southport Area

County urges residents on 11th Street and Brunswick Village Apartments to boil water until further notice

Southport, NC — Brunswick County Public Utilities has issued a boil water advisory for customers on 11th Street and at Brunswick Village Apartments after a water main break caused low pressure and temporary outages. Approximately 72 homes and businesses are affected.

Residents are advised to boil all water for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, washing dishes, or making ice. Bottled water is also considered safe for use.

The advisory will remain in effect until the county confirms that water quality has returned to safe levels and announces that the notice has been lifted.
