SOUTHPORT — Brunswick Little Theatre is inviting writers, performers, and everyday storytellers to audition for its 4th annual production of Listen to Your Mother, a heartfelt celebration of motherhood in all its forms.
Auditions will be held Saturday, March 21 from 1–3 p.m. and Monday, March 23 from 6–8 p.m. at the theatre’s home at 8068 River Road SE in Southport. Participants are encouraged to share original stories or read from provided scripts that reflect the joy, chaos, humor, and tenderness of motherhood.
“This show is about real voices and real stories,” said organizer Christie Delbridge. “Whether you’re a mom, stepmom, dog mom, dad mom, or just someone with a story that touches hearts — we want to hear it.”
Stories must be true, 850 words or fewer, and can be funny, touching, hopeful, or joyful. Selected narrators will attend two rehearsals, a dress rehearsal on May 8, and perform in two shows on May 9 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
