Deputies say the fatal incident on Cedar Grove Road was isolated and poses no ongoing threat.

At approximately 1:00 p.m. this afternoon, deputies with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported shooting on Cedar Grove Road in Supply.
Following the initial investigation, Joshua Aaron Audlin, 31, of Bolivia, was charged with the murder of Christopher Valkosak, 39. Audlin is currently being processed into the Brunswick County Detention Facility.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that this was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the community. The investigation remains active and ongoing, and no additional details are available at this time.
The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office extends its thoughts and prayers to the family and loved ones of Mr. Valkosak during this difficult time.
