Residents invited to pick up free food and connect with Health Department staff.
WHITEVILLE, NC — The Columbus County Health Department will host a free community food drive tomorrow, Thursday, February 5, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at 304 Jefferson Street in Whiteville.
Residents are invited to stop by and pick up free food items for themselves and their families, with no registration or advance sign‑up required.
Health Department staff will be on-site throughout the event to share resources, answer questions, and connect community members with available services. Organizers say the distribution is designed to support local families while also offering an opportunity for residents to meet staff and engage with neighbors in a welcoming setting.
The event is open to all community members, and attendees may arrive at any time during the distribution period.
