Lawn Equipment Valued at Over $4,000 Stolen in Nakina Break-In

NAKINA, NC — Authorities are investigating a felony break-in and larceny reported on Avery Ward Road in Nakina.

First Sergeant James Norris of the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report around 12:24 p.m. on Aug. 12. According to incident records, perpetrators targeted property belonging to 60-year-old Angela Denise Cribb.

Stolen items include a 46-inch Huskey zero-turn riding lawn mower valued at $3,500, a 16-inch Homelite chainsaw valued at $400, and a 20v brushless Hyper Tough string trimmer valued at $200. The total value of the stolen goods exceeds $4,100. No suspect descriptions were provided in the initial law enforcement log.
