Saturday event supports growing demand for regional food assistance
WHITEVILLE, NC — Facts of Life Outreach Community Based Programs is expanding its Nourish Hope food distribution schedule, adding a Saturday drive‑thru event in Whiteville while continuing its weekly Wednesday service in Tabor City.
The outreach program, which serves residents in both North Carolina and South Carolina, provides fresh food and essential groceries through a no‑cost, equal‑access model. Organizers say the drive‑thru format is designed to reduce wait times and streamline service for families, seniors, and individuals facing food insecurity.
The Wednesday distribution is held at 11:00 a.m. at 24678 Peacock Road in Tabor City. The Saturday event begins at 2:00 p.m. at Facts of Life Church of God, located at 506 N. Lee Street in Whiteville.
Participants are asked to bring their own boxes or bags, as on‑site supplies are not guaranteed. Volunteers load items directly into vehicles.
Facts of Life Outreach notes that it does not discriminate and operates as an equal opportunity provider. Additional information about the Nourish Hope program is available at factsoflifeoutreach.org
