Fayetteville Man Processed in Columbus County on Habitual Felon Charge

WHITEVILLE, NC — A Fayetteville man is facing an elevated legal battle after being served with an outstanding habitual felon indictment by local authorities.

Deputies with the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office took 48-year-old Andre Pone into custody on Tuesday afternoon. Pone was served with an outstanding warrant formally indicting him under North Carolina’s Habitual Felon statute, which enhances criminal penalties for individuals with multiple prior felony convictions on their record.

Pone was processed into the county facility shortly before 4:30 p.m. He is currently awaiting trial under a $5,000 secured bond.
