Multiple Felony Charges Filed Following Investigation in Winnabow

WINNABOW, NC — A Winnabow man faces serious violent assault and probation charges following an arrest by Brunswick County deputies over the weekend.

William Hemingway, 51, of Winnabow, was taken into custody by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office on July 19, 2026, at 2:36 p.m.

Hemingway was charged with;

• Assault With a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury (AWDW Serious Injury)
• Two counts of H/I Felony Probation Violation.

He was processed and remains in custody.
