Winnabow, NC — Both northbound and southbound lanes of US 17 in Winnabow are currently shut down due to an active gas leak, according to local officials. Traffic control points have been established, and motorists should expect significant delays throughout the area.
Southbound traffic on US 17 is being stopped at Zion Church Road, while northbound traffic is being halted at Town Creek Park. Drivers are urged to avoid the corridor if possible and follow instructions from law enforcement officers and traffic control personnel positioned at each closure.
A separate closure is also in place on US 17 Southbound at Green Hill Road, where crews are diverting traffic onto Green Hill Road as they work to safely resolve the situation. Officials caution drivers to expect delays and use care while traveling through the detour route.
