Local 6u Coach Pitch Team raising travel funds for upcoming World Series trip

Riegelwood, NC — The Riegelwood 6u Coach Pitch Team made a strong showing at the NC State Division II competition held in Lumberton, North Carolina, earning their spot in the upcoming World Series in Laurel, Mississippi. With a trip of this size comes significant cost, and families are working together to support the team’s travel needs.
A community bake sale will be held Friday, July 10, starting at 3:30 p.m. under the trees near their ballfield. Organizers say the event gives the players a chance to take part in raising money for their own team while bringing neighbors together in support.
Come support the team at the bake sale and lemonade stand, an effort that gives these committed boys a chance to contribute meaningfully toward reaching their goal. Organizers say the fundraiser reinforces that success takes hard work both on and off the field. “Help them reach their goals,” said Ms. Haily.
Visitors can stop by for baked goods, lemonade, and the opportunity to wish the boys good luck as they prepare for their World Series appearance.
