A Tabor City man is facing a long list of felony and misdemeanor charges after deputies arrested him shortly after midnight on June 18.
Jessie Brooks Rowe, 37, of 486 Fronis Strickland Road, was taken into custody at 12:30 a.m. on charges including:
• Felony Possession of Cocaine — $10,000 secured bond • Maintaining a Place for Controlled Substances • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia • Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance • Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia • Resisting a Public Officer • Assault on a Government Official/Employee • Drive Left of Center (local ordinance violation)
The report shows Rowe was booked and released the same day.
Under North Carolina law, “maintaining a place” is a felony charge applied when a residence or vehicle is used for drug activity. The combination of resisting an officer and assault on a government employee suggests deputies encountered resistance during the arrest.
All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
