Early‑morning blaze contained after coordinated response from multiple Brunswick County agencies
Northwest Volunteer Fire & Rescue was dispatched at approximately 2:30 a.m. this morning to a two‑story residential structure fire, arriving to find flames showing from the second floor.
Crews initiated an aggressive interior attack and brought the fire under control within about 45 minutes. No injuries were reported among firefighters or occupants.
The home sustained significant damage to the attic and a second‑floor bedroom. Firefighters remained on scene until roughly 6:30 a.m. conducting overhaul operations and working through the cause‑and‑origin investigation.
Northwest Volunteer Fire & Rescue thanked its mutual‑aid and public‑safety partners for their assistance, including Leland Fire/Rescue Department, Winnabow Fire Department, Boiling Spring Lakes Fire Rescue, Brunswick County EMS, and the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office. Their coordinated support was instrumental in bringing the incident to a safe conclusion.
