Road Work Forces City Services Drive‑Thru Closure

MYRTLE BEACH, SC — The remaining sections of North Oak Street and 10th Avenue North will close next week as crews begin installing new water, sewer, stormwater, and other underground utilities. The closures take effect Monday, June 15.

Coast RTA buses will continue serving the stop off Mr. Joe White Avenue but will not use 10th Avenue North or North Oak Street during this phase of construction.

The City Services drive‑thru window and the parking lots facing 10th Avenue North and North Oak Street will also close on June 15. The payment drop box will remain open, and customers may continue paying utility bills online.

The road closures and drive‑thru shutdown are expected to last approximately three months.

Customers visiting City Services should use the newly completed parking lot, accessible from: Ninth Avenue North at Lumber Street with Lumber Street accessible from Mr. Joe White Avenue and 10th Avenue North at Mr. Joe White Avenue.
