SUPPLY, NC — Fire crews responded Friday night to a reported fire at a single‑story restaurant near Ocean Highway West in Supply.
Units investigated and determined the smoke was coming from a controlled brush‑pile burn on Mount Pisgah Road, several miles inland.
According to dispatch audio, Civietown Fire Department, Supply Fire Department, and Southport Fire Department were among the agencies responding.
Crews checked the restaurant area, found no visible fire, and confirmed the source was a permitted burn. All units returned to service shortly after 9:00 p.m.
