Lake Waccamaw, NC — Lake Waccamaw Fire‑Rescue responded to an early morning call for a small outbuilding fire on Chauncey Town Road.
The incident marked the first structure fire response for the department’s newest Engine 9, which performed as expected.
Bolton Volunteer Fire Department and Hallsboro Volunteer Fire Department provided automatic aid. The Columbus County Fire Marshal’s Office is handling the cause and origin investigation.
No injuries were reported.
