Whiteville High School Student Charged With Intent to Distribute Marijuana

WHITEVILLE — A 19‑year‑old female student was charged with Possession With Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Distribute (PWIMSD) after a school resource officer found marijuana on campus May 15.

The incident occurred at Whiteville High School, where officers recovered 0.20 grams of THC marijuana.

PWIMSD is a felony under § 90‑95(a)(1), even when the quantity is small, if packaged or possessed in a manner consistent with distribution.

All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
