Horry County Museum to host free community program honoring fallen service members on May 25
Conway, SC — Residents, veterans, and active‑duty military are invited to the 2026 Memorial Day Tribute at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 25, 2026, in McCown Auditorium at the Horry County Museum in Conway.
The annual tribute is designed to honor Americans in uniform who gave their lives in service to the nation. The program will include a moment of silence, presentation of the national colors by a color guard, live patriotic music, and recognition of veterans of the American Armed Forces by service branch and era.
The event will also feature a screening of Death Drop: The 82nd Airborne and D-Day, a locally produced historical documentary chronicling the actions of the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division on June 6, 1944, and the airborne operations that supported the Allied invasion of Normandy during World War II.
McCown Auditorium and the Horry County Museum are located at 805 Main Street in Conway. Admission to the 2026 Memorial Day Tribute is free.
