Deputies investigating unauthorized access to 70‑year‑old woman’s device on Beaver Creek Drive
ST. JAMES, NC — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of unauthorized computer access involving a 70‑year‑old woman at a home on Beaver Creek Drive.
The victim, identified as Sharon Mitchell, told Deputy Justin Mullis on April 20 that someone accessed her computer without permission. Deputies classified the case as Accessing Computers, a misdemeanor offense under North Carolina law.
The investigation remains ongoing.
