Teddy Glenn Acton, Sr., 83, of Sunset Beach, NC passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, with his family beside him.
Born June 4, 1942, in Evansville, IN, he was the son of the late Harlon Francis “Bob” Acton and Margaret Milspah Acton.
Teddy was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served his country for six years. He retired from the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, DC where he was a detective. Teddy has been an active member of the Calabash Elks Lodge and American Legion for 35 years.
He is survived by his wife Vickie Moore Acton of the home; a son Teddy Glenn Acton, Jr. (Nita); two daughters, Gena Welsh and Tricia Thigpen (Michael); grandchildren, Shaun Grunner (Shannon), Ashlea Grunner (Jordan), Jacob Acton (William), Leah Miller (Justin), Ashley Fullerton (Cody) and Brittany Thigpen; and seven great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled later at the Calabash Elks Lodge.
