Want to help pets in the community, but cannot adopt? Got some free time? volunteer! Volunteer groups and individuals can help shelter staff with cleaning, pet enrichment, photos and more. Many shelters welcome cleaning supplies, pet food, treats, toys and flat sheets etc. Ask them about their wish list. Contact a shelter near you to inquire.
This page is updated weekly – call the shelter ahead of time to see if the featured orphans are still available or just go look anyways – one will choose you!

Dixie is a 10-month-old Great Dane mix who is full of life, love, and energy! She is up to date on all of her vaccines and is ready to find a family of her very own.
Like most young pups, Dixie loves to run, play, and explore. Because of her size and energy level, she would thrive with a family that has a large yard where she can stretch those long legs and enjoy being a puppy.
Dixie is still growing into the amazing dog she’s meant to be, and she’s looking for a family that will give her plenty of exercise, love, and guidance along the way. In return, she’ll fill your days with laughter, companionship, and lots of slobbery kisses!
