RECALL: Federal regulators have issued an urgent recall for approximately 149,400 Generac portable generators following reports of significant fuel leaks that pose fire and burn hazards.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reports that the carburetor on these units can leak gasoline during initial fueling. To date, 114 reports of fuel leaks have been filed. While no injuries have occurred, the leak presents a serious risk if the fuel encounters a spark or heat source.
