Sandra Lee Cox Lembcke Morgan Mills, age 81, of Tabor City, NC, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026, in Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, Whiteville, NC. Born October 11, 1944, in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of the late Carson W. Cox and Carrie Dutton Cox.
Sandra retired from the Columbus County School System as a teacher’s assistant of 31 years. She was also a lifelong member of Old Zion Wesleyan Church.
Sandra graduated from Tabor City High School in 1963. Her biggest delight in life was spending time with her granddaughters.
She is survived by two daughters, Angela Lembcke (Joey Lynn) of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Lydia Faulk (Phil) of Tabor City, NC, and two granddaughters, Brandi Carlisle (Mike) of North Myrtle Beach, SC, and Madalyn Carlisle (Janet Moseley) of Whiteville, NC, son in law Chuck Carlisle (Patti) of Whiteville, NC, and a previous husband, Eugene Mills of Chadbourn, NC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Albert Lembcke and Sammy Morgan, one granddaughter Alicia Faulk and two brothers, Connor F. Cox and William McCray Cox.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 2:00PM in Old Zion Wesleyan Church with burial to follow in the Old Zion Wesleyan Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
