RIEGELWOOD — Local residents will have an opportunity to receive free CPR and first aid training next month during a community class hosted by 360ENC, a nonprofit organization focused on health education and emergency preparedness in Eastern North Carolina.
The training will be held Saturday, April 25, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Ransom Activity Center, located at 2696 General Howe Highway in Riegelwood. The event is open to the public at no cost, and advance registration is required.
360ENC, which works to expand access to life‑saving skills and health resources across rural communities, is offering the course as part of its ongoing effort to strengthen emergency readiness in underserved areas. The program is being promoted locally with support from Acme‑Delco‑Riegelwood Fire Rescue.
Participants will receive hands‑on instruction in adult, child, and infant CPR, basic first aid, and emergency response techniques. Organizers say the training is designed for parents, caregivers, first responders, and anyone who wants to be prepared to act during a medical emergency.
“Knowing what to do in the first few minutes can make all the difference,” organizers said. “This training gives everyday people the confidence and skills to step in when it matters most.”
Class materials will be provided, and no prior experience is required. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.
