Sheriff’s Office joins athletes, families, and volunteers for an inspiring day of competition and community

Brunswick County, NC — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office joined athletes, families, and supporters this morning for the opening ceremonies of the Brunswick County Spring Games. Deputies helped bring in the torch as part of the Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run, presented the colors with the BCSO Honor Guard, and marked the start of the event with a flyover from Air 1.

The spotlight belonged entirely to the athletes. Their determination, excitement, and joy set the tone for the day, reminding everyone why the Spring Games remain one of the county’s most uplifting traditions.
