City outline locations for upcoming roadway improvements

Southport, NC — The city conducts paving work on multiple streets started today, March 23, as part of its ongoing roadway improvement program aimed at strengthening local infrastructure and enhancing travel safety.

Crews will be active in several neighborhoods and corridors throughout the week, with temporary traffic adjustments expected in work zones.

Streets scheduled for paving
– Stuart Avenue (between Howe Street and East Leonard Street)
– Highland Park (city‑maintained portion only)
– Burrington Avenue (city‑maintained portion only)
– Cottage Creek Road.
– Carolina Bay
– Marsh Grass Ct., Spartina Ct. and Cattail Ct.

Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through these areas and to follow all posted signs and traffic control instructions. City officials express appreciation for the community’s patience and cooperation as crews work to improve roadway conditions for residents and visitors.
