BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. — A Calabash man has been taken into custody on multiple felony charges following an investigation into the sexual exploitation of a minor, according to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities arrested Samuel Nicholas White Jr., 35, of Valley Drive, after an inquiry conducted in partnership with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, a nationwide initiative focused on combating online child exploitation.
White faces 16 felony counts, including:
– Eight counts of Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor
– Eight counts of Third-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor
Following his arrest, White was processed at the Brunswick County Detention Facility, where he remains in custody.
In a statement, the Sheriff’s Office commended the work of its Special Victims Unit, highlighting investigators’ diligence and professionalism throughout the case. Officials reiterated the agency’s commitment to protecting children and ensuring that offenders are held accountable.
