The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a Navassa man who went missing Thursday night.
Deputies are searching for Christ Leonard Gonzalez Soto, who also goes by “Leo.” Soto, 33, was last seen around 9:30 p.m. on March 5 near Beulah Lane in Navassa. He was wearing jeans and a green hoodie at the time.
Soto is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall and approximately 300 pounds. Investigators believe he may be driving a 2024 Hyundai Kona with North Carolina license plate MBB‑1365.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Soto’s vehicle was last spotted on March 6 at approximately 5:12 p.m. in the 100 block of Dock Street in Wilmington.
Authorities are urging anyone who has seen Soto or has information about his whereabouts to contact the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office at 910‑253‑2777 or call 911 immediately.
The Sheriff’s Office is also asking the community to share the alert to help bring him home safely.
