Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center Brings Life-Saving 3D Imaging Directly to the Coast This March
Ocean Isle Beach, NC — Early detection remains the most effective defense in the fight against cancer, and this spring, accessing world-class screening is easier than ever for Brunswick County residents. On March 12, 2026, the Novant Health mobile mammography unit will be stationed at the Town of Ocean Isle Beach, 111 Causeway Drive from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This state-of-the-art mobile clinic provides the same 3D digital mammography technology and expert team of female technologists found at traditional imaging centers, but with the added convenience of being right in your neighborhood.
What You Need to Know Before Your Visit:

Eligibility: Screening is available for individuals aged 35 and older.

Requirements: You must be under the current care of a Primary Care Physician (PCP) or OBGYN to schedule an appointment, as they will receive your official report.

Insurance: Most insurance plans cover screening mammograms as preventive care; Novant Health will file the claim with your provider on your behalf.

Previous Records: If your last mammogram was performed outside of the Novant Health network, the team will coordinate with your prior facility to obtain those images for a comprehensive comparison.
