WHITEVILLE, NC — A coalition of local businesses is teaming up to support neighbors in need through the Community CPR Curbside Can Drive, a grassroots food collection effort aimed at restocking the shelves at Community CPR.
The initiative, themed “Neighbors Helping Neighbors,” encourages residents to donate canned goods and non-perishable food items at eight drop-off locations across Whiteville. Organizers say even small contributions — a single bag or a couple of cans — can make a meaningful difference for families facing hardship in Columbus County.

📍 Drop-off locations include:
- WTXY Radio – 1017 S. Madison St
- Penn’s Grill – 128 E. Commerce St
- Cruzers Drive Thru – 807 Jefferson St
- Mercantile on Madison – 718 S. Madison St
- Mercantile Curiosities – 723 S. Madison St
- Kitchen Love – 11155 New Britton Hwy E
- Farmacy on Main – 110 E. Main St
- Ivy’s Cafe – Mini Mall #6
The drive is supported by a wide range of community partners, including local restaurants, retailers, and media outlets. Their shared goal: to make giving easy, local, and impactful.
“We’re stocking the shelves at Community CPR so we can keep showing up for our friends and neighbors when it matters most,” organizers said in a statement. “Let’s fill those shelves and keep Columbus County strong.”
Donations will be accepted throughout the month, with all items going directly to Community CPR’s food assistance programs.
